Cat Shit One

Now here’s something interesting that just recently came off from Japan. Cat Shit One is a 3D animated Japanese series that was previewed at the 2009 Tokyo International Anime Fair. Feels a lot like Metal Gear Solid with adorable bunnies replacing Solid Snake as the main characters. Seems to be like some serious war zone thriller with very comedic characters. Makes you think whether it is a military thriller or just plain comedy. It’s hard to take it seriously but well, who knows? You’ve gotta love the Japs for their creativity. Official Website here.

There’s no release date announced yet, and the length of the series is also unknown. Below is the YouTube trailer.

Thanks to Paul for bringing this up. I’ve actually spotted it on some other anime/otaku news websites/blog, but the name turned me off and I didn’t bother. Well, turns out to be very different than expected. As the saying goes, “don’t judge a book by its cover”. It’ll definitely be on my watch list.

Will Cat Shit One be on your watch list?

For a production of a previously unknown company, I have to say I’m impressed.

Apparently Disney’s been keeping an eye on this blog too, because they’ve just released this :

I’ll let the video do the talking.
